Our Homecoming Gala included a silent fundraising auction to support the many programs at Peninsula Sinai, as well as a Fund-The-Need to fund improved security for the Synagogue.

PSC’s Homecoming – A Story

Once upon a time, in a not so far off land, four suburban dwellers had a dream of a haimish kingdom on the North Peninsula. B’yachad (together), this group of honorable, learned provincials came together in December of ‘67 and formed a kehillah (community) in which to share Torah (learning), Avodah (prayer), and Gemilut Hasadim (Acts of Kindness). As Peninsula Sinai Congregation grew, we needed a bayit (home) of our own. In 1979, we secured an enchanted castle in which to share Shabbat Kol Ha-Neshama (the voice of our souls).

PSC helps people in their spiritual quests for God, meaning, and fellowship, and thus the kingdom and castle have grown over generations. Our Tefillah (prayer experience) and Kesher (connections) are strong. Our spiritual derekh (path) is clear, but our physical petach (entry way) is no longer considered adequate hagana (protection). The next chapters in our story call for us to protect our castle (synagogue) with guards (cameras), moats (fencing), and drawbridges (gates) through the Fund-A-Need at our Homecoming.

With our castle protected, we can freely uplift our kolot (voices) and neshamas (souls) as we fulfill the 613th commandment – writing our own Torah. In chagiga (celebration) of our first 50 years, join us in writing the next chapter of the Peninsula Sinai Story. Come Kings (Men) and Queens (Women), dressed in your best Homecoming Attire. Buy your corsages and boutonnieres and be ready for spiked punch at this ADULTS ONLY gala for the ages. If you’d like, register and bring your Princes (boys) and Princesses (girls) to play with our madrachim (teens) next door.

Finally, down the hall from our Homecoming Gala will be a special program for children pre-K - Grade 5, so that young families can join more easily join the party. This is completely separate from the Homecoming Gala. Space is limited and RSVPs are required (via the "Get Tickets" link below).
